Primary Role:
The Sales Engineer provides primary sales support to the COP sales activities for IT Sourcing Reviews, IT Sourcing Procurement Management, and COP Outsourcing Lifecycle Management engagements, reporting to the Vice President of Business Development. The Sales Engineer works in conjunction with the Sales representatives and other staff members to support the Sales activities. This role provides technical and workflow support, business case development, customer opportunity analysis, proposal generation, and works Sales on reviewing requirements of the customer to achieve the best result for the customer, including preparing documentation and project proposals.
Responsibilities:
- Support sales strategy development for VP of Business Development.
- Provide technical sales support for COP services.
- Determine technical requirements of the customer, and provide clear estimation of feasibility and risks.
- Perform technical analysis and develop pre-sales business cases.
- Support contract negotiations.
- Work directly with sales reps to support development of customer account strategies.
- Attend customer business planning meetings to define preliminary requirements.
- Work with the Sales team and the Engagement Team organization to develop proposals and work estimates for services based on preliminary requirements.
- Convert requirements and quotes into statements of work.
- Work with the Sales, Engagement, and Client Delivery and as necessary, to determine innovative approaches for "non-standard" implementations.
Required Characteristics:
- 2+ years project management or IT consulting experience.
- IT Services Outsourcing experience required.
- Must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Deep knowledge of outsourcing SLA¡¯s, market based pricing, and business terms.
- Effective team and client communication skills.
- Sales engineer role for an IT services company or related area, preferably in the area of sourcing and research.

Primary Role:
The role is a thought leader and group manager with P&L responsibility for COP¡¯s services in the online gaming industry, which includes casual gaming and the massively multiplayer online gaming sectors. It is the public face of COP for the segment, with market commentary, trade show participation, blogging, and other visionary activities about market trends and dynamics. It also oversees all client engagements involving COP services for the vertical, including strategic research, information technology purchases, and payment processing procurement, while performing direct project management duties for major accounts. This position supports and initiates business development for opportunities involving services for game developers, distributors, and operators. While responsible for maintaining and expanding COP¡¯s presence in online gaming, the Practice Leader will be able to cross sell into financial services, pharmaceutical, Internet services, insurance, health care, media & entertainment, advertising, and publishing if opportunities exist.
Responsibilities:
- Be COP's public face in the gaming market, attending trade shows, creating market commentary, and participating in industry-related blogs.
- Develop overall strategy, budget, and tactical action plan for the Practice.
- Manage the P&L related to the gaming segment, to ensure growth and profitability for COP services within the segment.
- Contribute to identifying and hiring engagement managers and supporting analysts for gaming services.
- Oversee and/or perform client engagement processes for gaming industry, including statements of work, client needs assessment, RFP/RFQ preparation, vendor selection, vendor analysis, and vendor recommendations for client engagements.
- Determine high level approach to addressing client need including value proposition and cost / benefit analysis.
- Monitor engagements to maintain client satisfaction, project timing, and project objectives.
- Complete communication plan for project (internal and external) detailing clear roles and responsibilities, issue management and escalation process
- Oversee client engagement, analyst, and consultant performance for gaming engagements, including performance improvement plan if necessary.
- Identify and contact vertical and subject matter expert(s) to participate in proposal and manage engagement
- Contribute to business development for the gaming segment, including but not limited to:
- Account identification and sales strategy.
- Leverage business contacts to drive opportunities.
- Participating in pre-sales calls with prospects, as a subject matter expert and to scope COP services.
- Defining scope, setting objectives, developing solutions and closing deals.
Required Characteristics:
- Must have industry relationships with Blizzard, Microsoft, EA, Sony, and other online gaming firms. Relationships with firms in North America a must, other regions a plus (e.g., Korea, Japan).
- Proven leadership ability, thorough understanding of market dynamics, and a self-motivated style. Relationships with top influencers in the gaming segment a plus.
- 5-10 years business experience including a minimum of 3+ years of successfully conducting and/or selling IT services and/or professional consulting services to the gaming vertical.
- Consulting experience to gaming companies with a recognized professional services organization, large managed services client, and/or major managed services vendor a plus
- Proven experience working with senior executives to develop value propositions and solutions.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to build a business unit, with P&L responsibility
- College degree required; MBA a plus.
- Ideal Candidate would have a background in an IT organization with a gaming focus, a top tier consulting organization, or gaming-focused analyst firm.
